Mark D Ball Basketball Tournament in Benue State | Wednesday 26th – Monday 31st December 2013

It’s that time of year again folks, when all roads lead to Benue State for the annual baskestball tournament! Mark D Ball basketball tournament is just days away to kick off! The youth focused sports tournament is aimed at removing kids off the street, and placing them in scholarship programs that will develop their gifts so they can build successful sports careers.

The 2013 episode of Mark D Ball promises to be even bigger than that of 2012.  This year, the tournament will host even more athletes and stars from all over!

The main focus of the Mark D Ball basketball tournament is to create an avenue for youth empowerment and motivation; although the tournament is based in Benue State, the initiation is to be nation-led.  In an era where the youth are getting more encouragement to form careers through the entertainment industry, Mark D Ball serves as a prominent reminder to the Nigeria masses that sports also must be given the same support as an avenue for career development.  Most of the artists that will be performing during the tournament are also sportsmen.  By inviting these celebrities to come participate in the tournament, is a sort of lesson to the younger generation to combine talents they have in sports and/or music to earn a living.

As mentioned in the beginning, this year’s tournament is bigger and better because of the new and improved basketball courts, new equipment, more basketball teams participating.  There will also be an opening ceremony and a MASSIVE closing ceremony.  Some of the artists pegged to perform and play during the tournament are: 2face, MI, Kcee (Limpopo master),  Sound Sultan, Modenine, Show Dem Camp (SDC), Vector, Yung L, Endia (Grip Muzik), guest appearance by John Okafor (Mr Ibru), star athletes from around the world and many more…
