30,000 Receive free Medical Treatment in Kogi

About 30,000 people have so far benefited from the ongoing free medical services initiated by the kogi state government to improve the health condition of the people.

The Special Adviser to governor Idris Wada on free medicine and charity Yakubu Okatahi disclosed this yesterday at the Nagazi Hospital in Adavi local government area of the state where the free medical exercise is still on-going.


He said the programme has succeeded in bringing health services to the door steps of rural dwellers at no cost across the 21 local governments of the state.

"In the second quarter, the free medical treatment which is still ongoing, over 30,000 patients have so far been treated for different ailments. Health is one of the cardinal points of governor Wada transformational agenda," he said.

Okatahi further disclosed that plans have been concluded by the state government to introduce health insurance scheme for the people of the state.

Earlier, the leader of the CEDIO Medical Dr. Ify Okatahi called on the people to take advantage of the free health care provided by the state government.
